Labor and employment problems can cost your business – we use our experience, creativity,
and practicality to make sure your business is not interrupted.

We strive to provide prompt, creative, and practical solutions which assist our private sector clients in reaching their objectives while steering clear of liability. We are careful to provide advice in plain language so that our recommendations can be easily understood and effectively implemented.

Proactive Counseling

Our labor and employment expertise is devoted to helping private sector clients steer clear of liability as they run their businesses. We pride ourselves in successfully providing creative solutions to difficult employment issues while minimizing liability risks. We routinely assist clients on issues involving hiring and firing, employment policies, criminal background checks, wage and hour compliance, prevention and investigation of harassment claims, employee privacy, and compliance with other complex employment laws such as the ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and USERRA.

Employment Litigation

KKLL regularly represents private employers in a wide range of employment litigation matters before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, including the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Unemployment Compensation Board of Review, and various other agencies within the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry and the U.S. Department of Labor. We also frequently represent clients in litigation involving enforcement of non-compete and confidentiality agreements. As an advocate, we provide aggressive and effective representation while keeping the client well informed as to case status, strategy, projected costs, and resolution options.

Management Training

KKLL’s labor and employment lawyers routinely provide management training for clients on subjects including sexual harassment prevention, handling harassment complaints, documenting performance problems, ADA/FMLA compliance, and labor relations. In today’s workplace, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” Management training sessions help clients avoid costly litigation so they can remain focused on business.
